Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paolo and Rodrigo, Shea and everyone at Gracie Barre Santa Barbara are extremely attentive and skilled masters. That is my personal experience and I’ve watched them with the younger ages and seen this consistently.
I highly recommend them to anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu, no matter what your age, skill level or intention.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The teachers here are amazing and they instill values of respect, self-esteem, and a growth mindset. I don’t have much prior martial arts experience but we were immediately welcomed at Gracie and felt at ease. FYI - there is public parking in the back on Anacapa (free for first 75 mins).

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve always wanted to try BJJ and couldn’t be happier with my choice in joining this gym. Not only is the instruction top-notch (TY Rodrigo, Paulo, Tracy, Justina, and Shay <3), but there is a strong sense of community and camaraderie. Everyone has been welcoming, patient, and helpful. There is a learning curve in learning this sport, but the atmosphere here keeps me coming back, and I’m excited to progress my game!
